Carlo this is "holy crap I'm printing this right now" awesome! Yes, I'm like the people in the insurance commercial printing the internet lol. Because I like to sit outside, unplugged, read, think & write and this hits all 3 of those things.

This is such a wonderful post because it’s putting into action exactly what you were writing about the other day. Working with AI algorithms is really teaching me about my own and it’s also teaching me how to work with other people’s algorithms in much more specific and more productive ways.

Interesting.

You finally come to, "First, build something unshakeable. Then shake it until something new falls out."

As I started reading your article, I was missing that last part, so was glad to find it in your Addendum.

I am wondering if the order you are advocating for is really that mandatory. Couldn't I do these things in the opposite order? I feel like that is what I am doing with my projects. But my projects are creative, fiction writing, not analyzing stocks or something.

Carlo, I riffed off your post with a story and also with a podcast. to two different angles on the same thing sort of, but not really.

I’d love to hear your feedback if you have any.

I finally looked you up on perplexity and I see that you’re a busy guy. I understand that. When you get to it, I think you might find my musings interesting… But, of course, I don’t know.

I hope perplexity was nice about me! Ha

Well, I don’t know what you think nice is. You should ask perplexity yourself and you’ll see. I’ve almost entirely quit using Google for searches and I haven’t participated actively in LinkedIn for maybe 10 years.

Carlo, I’m so crazy about your thinking that I wrote a story today with Claude about how I understand what you’re pointing to about prompting machines. The very same principles you’re advocating are the principles advocated in NonViolent Communication. I’m just a baby when it comes to machine prompting, but I’ve studied NVC for many decades and the parallels between effective - nonviolent - communication with humans and effective - clear thinking - communication with AI are the same.

I’m so grateful to find your thinking here on Substack. And I’d love to hear your response to my post if you’re inclined to read more and make a comment about it here: https://meriwalker.substack.com/p/in-the-nvc-dojo-a-dialogue-on-communication
